We also have other quality senior managers who are available for both interim and project work and are highly skilled at helping organisations achieve “quick wins” as well as help meet longer term goals.  Our team of experts include:

 

Helen Buller - Helen has over 35 years of experience of working in local authorities and ALMO’s, with 18 of these years at Director/ Senior Manager level. She has managed services in all areas of general tenancy management including rent collection, tenant participation, voids and rehousing. Helen also has considerable governance expertise, having been the Company Secretary and Governance Manager for a large London based ALMO.  She has extensive experience of leading change and service improvements including the development of strategies, policies and procedures and large scale reorganisations of services.  Helen is an experienced Board Member and is currently Chair of East Kent Housing, the first “Super Almo” to be set up in the country.    

 

Mary Hope- A Fellow of CIPD, Mary has over 30 years experience in teaching, training and Human Resources in both the private sector and local government. Most recently employed, for over 8 years, as an Executive Search Consultant working across the public sector but with a special interest in housing. Mary is a qualified to administer and interpret a range of psychometric tests, is a trained NLP practitioner and coach. She specialises in supporting executives to achieve excellence and to prepare for challenging recruitment processes. She is an Associate of SOLACE, a member of the Judicial Appointments Commission interview panels and sits on the Board of Rosebery Housing Association.

 

Diana Hodson - is a Senior Housing Practitioner with over 30 years’ successful work in local authorities and registered social housing providers.  She has directed services in all areas of tenancy management, with particular expertise in sheltered housing, anti-social behaviour and unauthorised occupation.  She has recently helped two ALMOS reach 2 stars for their housing management provision.  Diana has also managed council applications and allocation services.  She is an experienced board member, currently with a small organisation in West London providing housing and support services for veterans.  Diana is a member of the CIH.

 

Richard Towes - A highly qualified Chartered Institute of Housing Registered Trainer and a member of first ODPM Social Sector Working Party, with over 32 years experience in all aspects of leasehold and home ownership matters. Richard is a founder member of a London based Leasehold Officers Forum and a former LGA Advisor on Leasehold issues. Staff and project management, training and working with organisations to achieve efficiencies sand service improvements are amongst Richard's key strengths.

 

Simon Eversley -  20 years experience working in public sector housing. This includes 14 years managing staff, 3 of which have included senior management roles. Simon also has wide project management experience and has worked in a regulatory capacity. He has helped prepare organisations for successful Audit Commission inspections as well as assessments for Customer Service Excellence and Investors in People. He has extensive experience of resident consultation and involvement and has worked closely with Tenant Management Organisations

  

Tim Handcock – Tim has over 23 years experience of working in the social housing sector with both housing associations and local authorities. Tim’s core areas of experience include working in supported, sheltered, leasehold and key-worker housing and assignments have included preparation for Audit Commission inspections, Supporting People service reviews, strategic development, policy review, performance management and restructuring of services. Since becoming a consultant Tim has carried out successful interim management and consultancy work with The Origin Group, LB Barnet, Kingsmead Homes, Rosebery HA, Poplar HARCA and Wandle HA. Tim has excellent communication and people skills and a successful track record of delivering outcomes.  Tim is committed to the continuous improvement of services and has an excellent understanding of driving change through resident empowerment through his work at Poplar HARCA. Tim has also spent time in North-East Brazil where he has experience of property management and the conveyancing process.

  

Lesley Leather - has over 25 years experience of staff recruitment and training issues. Lesley has particular expertise on providing  successful training courses on topics such as coaching, mentoring, customer care and management development.

 

Mithu Ghosh - has worked in public sector housing for over 25 years and has operated at the Director/Senior Manager level for over 10 of these years. Mithu’s areas of expertise include Housing Management, Contract Management, Estate Regeneration, Equality and Diversity, Audit Inspection Support/Advice and Service Reviews.

 

Dina DelicDina has over 17 years experience of working within both the statutory and voluntary sectors. Dina's areas of expertise are Welfare Rights, Housing and Immigration. Dina holds a MA degree in Housing Law and is qualified as a Legal Adviser with experience of presenting cases at Welfare Tribunals. Dina is also trained as a Life Coach and her interpersonal skills are often praised by both her colleagues and clients

 

Les Lewis - has worked in public sector housing for over 30 years and has a wide range of skills and experience. Les combines excellent communication skills with the ability to manage both staff and projects. Les’ experience in Housing Management, Contract Management – especially Grounds Maintenance Cleaning and Arrears Recovery and Collection - Homeownership and Resident Involvement has been gained at middle/senior manager level.  

 

James Shaw -  is an experienced Consultant at Director or Senior Management level and has particular expertise in Audit Commission Inspection Support and Advice,  Housing Management and Maintenance Services. James has worked on a large number of varied assignments including detailed and extensive research, reviews, processes and sector advice, since taking up consultancy in October 2002. James is also the former Chair of Rosebery Housing Association, where he lead the Association to a 2 star and promising prospects rating from the Audit Commission in 2007.

 

Geoffrey Jackson - is a former Managing Director of a national property consultancy and Director of an International Firm of Civil Engineers. A Chartered Building Surveyor, with over 20 years experience in Local Government managing the refurbishment and maintenance of all types of Council properties, the last 6 years as a Chief Officer with in-house Direct Labour Organisation and professional staff. Geoffrey enjoys providing a customer focused service and working to time related deadlines; a strategic thinker with a track record of results and achievements in key projects.

 

Claire Devos - is our Asset Management and Maintenance expert and has over 20 years experience of Public Sector Housing. Claire has particular experience in alternative procurement methods with a recent emphasis on collaborative working methods encompassing the strategic procurement of consultants and is also familiar with the JCT suite of contracts, PPC, TPC and Client bespoke forms.

 

Jane Slevin  -  Initially graduated with a degree in Computing, worked on various IT projects in all roles, finally as programme manager dealing with global systems. Jane is also experienced in general management and company strategy, with particular emphasis on process, systems and quality.

 

For the last 8 years Jane has been working as both a consultant and contractor to the social housing sector, supporting organisations to focus on customer service excellence and value for money. Jane has been directly responsible for the delivery of gas services; including responsive repairs, gas servicing and boiler replacement schemes for over 12,000 properties. Jane has also developed a robust method for analysing existing asset maintenance and repairs service delivery, systems and processes; facilitating improvement workshops that develop and implement effective plans for improvement to customer services and value for money. Jane has a particular interest in equality and diversity, alongside the delivery of best value services either through direct labour or the use of partnering contracts. Jane has had formal training from BSI on quality management systems and audit procedures.
